Spicer is, technically, a Commander in the United States Navy. Well, in the United States Navy Reserve, which is sort of like Navy Lite.
It’s true that some reservists see as much or more action than active duty service members, but Spicer’s service has largely been in his capacity as a media professional, doing communications work for the military.
