7. Her Great Great Grandfather Was A Slave
Michelle learned that her great, great grandfather, Jim Robinson, was a slave in South Carolina. The former first lady was on a campaign trip when she found out that Robinson worked on a plantation. She talked about this at the DNC in 2016 and during the commencement speech she gave at City College.
