5. Twitter Threats Become A Reality
Right before Trump fired Comey, he tweeted: “FBI Director Comey was the best thing that ever happened to Hillary Clinton in that he gave her a free pass for many bad deeds! The phony…”
So, originally everyone thought that Comey was fired for how he handled the Clinton emails, and that’s what Trump originally said.
But then, Trump admitted that it was because Comey was still investigating Russia. He said to ABC, “And in fact when I decided to just do it, I said to myself, I said ‘you know, this Russia thing with Trump and Russia is a made-up story, it’s an excuse by the Democrats for having lost an election that they should have won’.”
So, what’s the real story?
