Blues legend B.B. King has passed away yesterday in his Las Vegas home at the age of 89. The one-time farmhand brought the blues to a new set of fans around the world and influence millions with his heartfelt vocals and his soaring guitar solos. King sold millions of records worldwide and was inducted into the Blues Foundation Hall of Fame and the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. B.B played a Gibson guitar which he called Lucille. He was certainly the undisputed kind of blues and a mentor to many famous guitarists, like Eric Clapton.
He was awarded his 15th Grammy in 2009 in the traditional blues album category for “One Kind Favor.” Here are some of King’s most popular songs to commemorate his passing. He lived a full life and was touring and playing right up until his death.
