Science and man have an on-again-0ff-again relationship. On one hand, science has made all the luxuries we enjoy a possibility like clean water, medicine, locomotive, telecommunication, etc. On the other end, advances in science have led to destruction of the planet’s natural beauty. We consistently pillage through forests and pollute our rivers, oceans, and the air. The outcome is certainly in the hands that wields the power.
One of our favorite parts about science is that it allows us to grasp a better control – and extends our perception – of reality. This feature allows us to envision possible options – and once you can envision something, making it a reality is just a matter of time. We wouldn’t be fully surprised if one day (may be generations down the line) we have capabilities like time travel and teleportation (hey, one can dream). However, our fixation with understanding more about life (and curious nature in general) makes us do things that are just too strange.
