Graffiti, by definition, is writing or drawings that have been scribbled, scratched, painted or sprayed illegally on a public space. Graffiti can range from simple words or tags to elaborate murals. Its actually has existed from ancient times, with examples dating from ancient Egypt, Greece and the Roman Empire. But this has all changed in the last few decades, Graffiti has actually evolved into an art form that is studied in art schools across the world and been sought after by collectors.
One of the more famous and still illusive “street artists” that come to mind is Banksy. He is arguably one of the most controversial and most sought after artists in the world. Banksy has impacted the art world and the graffiti scene and his true identity still remains a mystery even after 20 years.
