Although not a state, a change like this in the nation’s capital can surely ignite a fire in the rest of the country looking to legalize marijuana. Like Oregon and Alaska, the residents of D.C will vote for the Initiative 71. According to the Huffington Post, if passed, the bill “would legalize adult possession and use of up to 2 ounces of cannabis as well as home cultivation of up to six marijuana plants for personal use.”
