Green Tea for Sunburns

Green tea may seem like a fad, but numerous studies have shown that it does have amazing healing abilities. Consuming it on regular basis has been proven to reduce the risk of cancer, slow down the aging process, keep skin healthy, reduce cholesterol and blood sugar levels, and have anti-inflammatory properties. Because it is an anti-inflammatory, it can also be used to seek relief from painful sunburns as well.

To help soothe a sunburn simply prepare the tea, let it cool, then use a towel to soak up the tea and gently apply it to the burn. Do not rub the sunburn, just spread the towel on the area and let it sit or dab gently. Note** this works best when done as soon as the burn occurs!
