10. Call Your Mom to Beat Stress
We all know moms can induce eye rolls and can often cause us to feel as if our blood pressure is rising but studies have shown that kids were less stressed after speaking with their moms. The participants in the study lowered their cortisol and increased their oxytocin levels when communicating physically or even over the phone for 15 minutes with their moms. Its been proven that there is something about a mother’s voice that raises the levels of oxytocin in our bodies allowing us to relax during stressful situations.
