There are number of things that cause us to be unhappy, however two concepts plague our brain like none other- these are fear and self-doubt. What is worse is that these concepts are unreal – but as you will see in the video, what is unreal to you, is every bit real to our brain. We consistently allow our predetermined phobias to keep us from reaching our goals and dreams and if you, like I, are tired of feeling unhappy with your state of mind, then perhaps an answer can be found in this clip.
According to Dr. Amit Sood, the key to happiness is to not just live in a state of compassion and gratitude, but to also apply it in our everyday life. By empathizing with fellow citizens and helping them through their rough time, we enable ourselves to establish self-worth. The trick however, is to apply it to your everyday life – and not when you are in a state of depression seeking relief. Happiness is not something you can find so there is no point looking for it. But happiness is a guaranteed result when compassion and gratitude are the ways you live by. And it all makes sense because doing something nice for somebody else almost (always) gives us a great feeling inside – yet we don’t live our lives trying to do more.
