Horrendous pain in our mouths due to dental issues is one most of us can relate to. Apart from the pain one feels from chewing food, such situations are aggravating enough to cause emotional agony as well. Our animals friends in the nature also feel this torment. Sadly for them, they have to rely on our generosity to provide them with any possible relief.
Aslan is a white lion situated in Kevin Richardson Wildlife Sanctuary; he broke his canine teeth about a year ago leading to him being excessively irritable and agitated – furthermore, to his isolation from his pride. Of course the pain made it very difficult for Aslan to chew his food.
To help relieve Aslan of his misery, founder Kevin Richardson invited Fixodent, Kukident, and Blend-a-dent, and top tier veterinary dentists. The operation took about 6 hours but Aslan champed through it and restarted his life once his recovery period ended – in what is an amazing sight, he was welcomed by his pride with open arms.
Another amazing sight is watching Kevin Richardson, famously known as “The Lion Whisperer”, have a connection with lions that most of us could only dream of; not sure about you guys, but I wish I could just snuggle up with a lion.
One important lesson that we can take from this story is to realize how important it is to take care of our teeth and to use dental care accommodations to our advantage. It is highly encouraged that you visit your dentist twice (but at least) once a year for a checkup.
