Police Burn 3.3 Tons of Marijuana and You’ll Never Believe What Happens Next

Indonesian Police have earned a few victories recently in regards to their war on drugs. On the week of March 22nd, they confiscated 4.8 tons of Marijuana. About a week later, they confiscated another 3.3 tons and immediately set it on fire – aside from the insane amounts of pollution the smoke produced, the giant marijuana pyre got everyone in the town high. Yes, that’s right, high.

Indonesia has a no tolerance policy when it comes to drugs so seeing they burned the massive amounts of marijuana -worth about a million dollars – around people seems rather foolish; however, it can be seen as the police taking a strong public stance on the issue.

Do you think the public display on incineration will have any positive effect on the drug scene in Indonesia?
